There was a power outage on Hudson Bay Mountain at 10 AM – Nov. 18, 2017.
This is the reason all of our signals are off the air from Hudson Bay Mountain.
This includes: Channel 10, our digital channels, and CBC Radio 2.
Power will not be restored until sometime Sunday- Nov. 19th, at the earliest.
On a brighter note, we have installed a new satellite dish on Hudson Bay.
This should allow us to bring back the HD digital channels, in the next few weeks.

Channel 18 - Knowledge Network is back on the air in old fashioned analog mode. If you have a smart TV, you may have to do a channel scan to pick up the signal. The digital channels will eventually return. Damage to our equipment was worse than first thought and will take longer to repair. We expect the digital channels to be back on the air sometime in August.
Channel 18 Digital Channels are down !
Our digital channels in the Houston area are currently off the air. The severe thunderstorms this past weekend have damaged portions of our Channel 18 Digital transmitter. We are in the process of ordering replacement parts, but this means Channel 18 will be probably be off the air for about a month. It may come back sooner in an analog mode with the Knowledge Network only. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be transitioning our digital channels to full HD resolution. This will give improved pictures and colour. Please read our previous post if you lose the picture on these channels.
Changes to Digital Channels in Smithers area
In the near future, we are planning to change our digital channels to full HD. Some viewers may need to make changes to their TV when this happens. Flat screens more than 10 years old may have problems with this new format.
If after this change, you are only able to receive audio on our digital channels; you will need to purchase either a digital converter box or a newer flat screen tv. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but i believe you will be happy when you see the improved resolution. This is a good time of year to consider purchasing a new flat screen tv. If dollars are tight, the least expensive place to buy a new tv locally is "www.walmart.ca"
We will give you advance notice when we are going to make this change.
