Hi, I am looking for information on how to get Radio Canada broadcasting in the Smithers area. My daughter is in the new Fancophone School in Smithers and there is much interest from the local population here in general. Any info is appreciated. I hear it is being broadcast in Terrace already. Thanks.
OUTAGE ALERT !!!
All TV channels on Hudson Bay Mountain will be off the air during the day from Sept. 29 to October 1st. These are Channel 8, Digital channels 201-204 and CBC Radio 2 - 88.1
This is due to BC Hydro planned maintenance on the power line.

Over the next couple of weeks we will be transitioning our digital channels to full HD resolution. This will give improved pictures and colour. Please read our previous post if you lose the picture on these channels.
Changes to Digital Channels in Smithers area
In the near future, we are planning to change our digital channels to full HD. Some viewers may need to make changes to their TV when this happens. Flat screens more than 10 years old may have problems with this new format.
If after this change, you are only able to receive audio on our digital channels; you will need to purchase either a digital converter box or a newer flat screen tv. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but i believe you will be happy when you see the improved resolution. This is a good time of year to consider purchasing a new flat screen tv. If dollars are tight, the least expensive place to buy a new tv locally is "www.walmart.ca"
We will give you advance notice when we are going to make this change.
